Caroline Meier
Thailand Project Coordinator
Thailand Project Coordinator since April 2025
Caroline’s dedication to animals began back in 2011, when she started helping sick and injured animals in Hua Hin, Thailand. Inspired by her childhood hero, Dr. Dolittle, she continues to this day to rescue every animal that crosses her path.
With a background in real estate, a translation agency, and healthcare, Caroline knows how to approach challenges in a practical and efficient way. She was raised with a Swiss mentality: work hard and live modestly. As her grandfather always said:
“Before you start something, think carefully about how — and whether — you can do it. Because once you begin, there is no turning back or giving up.”
This mindset guides her every day. She helps without expecting recognition, works tirelessly behind the scenes with heart and soul, and follows her own path — as long as it is good for both her and the animals.
In addition to her role as Project Coordinator for Project Street Dogs Thailand, Caroline runs her own rescue shelter in Hua Hin called Caro’s World. The foundation now works closely together with her shelter, and together we form a strong and dedicated team.
Caroline organizes everything that is needed — from sterilization campaigns and rescue missions to the daily care of dozens of dogs. All on a voluntary basis — unpaid, yet with priceless dedication.
