Be the Reason a Street Dog Gets a Second Chance

About Us

Stichting Project Street Dogs Thailand is a Dutch non-profit organization founded in 2011 by Dutch animal welfare advocate Marlie Timmermans.

From the Netherlands, Marlie coordinates all activities related to the foundation, while a dedicated team in Thailand, led by Caroline Meijer, founder of Caro’s World Foundation, carries out the daily rescue and welfare work on the ground.

Together, they form a strong and committed team that works tirelessly to help animals in need.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple yet powerful: to improve the lives of stray dogs and cats by providing food, medical care, sterilization, and relief from itching, pain, and hunger.

We believe that every animal deserves love, care, and protection. By working closely with local partners, we strive to create sustainable, long-term change for Thailand’s stray animal population.

Together, we form a dedicated team committed to making a real difference for animals in need.

Partnerships in the Netherlands

Since 2024, we have been working in partnership with Stichting Dierenhulp.nl, an organization fully dedicated to supporting sterilization projects. Sterilization is one of the most effective ways to reduce the number of stray animals. Thanks to their focused support, we are able to expand our sterilization program and contribute to a sustainable solution. By preventing unwanted litters, we help reduce animal suffering and give future generations a better chance at a healthy and dignified life.

In addition, each year we apply for support from Stichting Abri voor Dieren to help cover medical expenses and food supplies. We are deeply grateful for their continued willingness to support our work and help improve the lives of animals in need.

We also receive valuable support from our general donors. Together, we can make a lasting difference for stray animals in Thailand.

ANBI Status

Stichting Project Street Dogs Thailand is officially recognized by the Dutch Tax Authorities as an ANBI (Public Benefit Organization).

This status allows donors not only to support an important cause but also to benefit from potential tax advantages, including tax-deductible donations under Dutch tax regulations.
