For seven years, I had the privilege of living in Hua Hin, Thailand. During those years, I witnessed every day how serious the situation is for the many street animals living on the streets. But I also saw how much hope there can be: dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly day in and day out to feed these animals, provide them with water, monitor their health, and step in whenever an animal becomes sick or injured.

What touched me most was that the care goes beyond immediate welfare. Structural steps are also being taken - such as sterilization - to truly address the problem at its core. And that is exactly what I have seen Marlie Timmermans do, with perseverance, passion, and remarkable results.

I am proud to contribute as an advisor and to support Project Street Dogs Thailand wherever possible with a variety of activities in the Netherlands.
